At the Municipal Art Gallery, visitors can admire the impressive Ingrao Collection, featuring some of the greatest names of twentieth-century Italian art, including Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Filippo de Pisis, and Giorgio Morandi. The museum also displays part of the Civic Collection of Sardinian Artists, including works by Francesco Ciusa, the most important Sardinian sculptor of the twentieth century. Among the highlights is the original plaster cast of The Mother of the Slain Son, exhibited at the 1907 Venice Biennale.

Palazzo di Città hosts a new exhibition:

"Wanda Nazzari. Scores of Rust and Silk"

Promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cagliari, curated by Mariolina Cosseddu, with exhibition design by Alessandro Sitzia, the exhibition traces more than fifty years of Wanda Nazzari's artistic research through a journey that brings artworks, materials, and the historic spaces of Palazzo di Città into dialogue.

Located within the Citadel of Museums, the Stefano Cardu Museum of Siamese Art houses the prestigious Cardu Collection, an outstanding collection of Asian art donated to the Municipality of Cagliari by the Cagliari-born collector Stefano Cardu. An enthusiastic traveller, Cardu lived and worked in Siam—present-day Thailand—for approximately twenty-five years.

The collection includes a remarkable selection of nineteenth-century artworks and decorative objects, primarily from Siam, but also from Japan, India, Laos, China, and Burma (Myanmar).

Complementing the permanent exhibition is the temporary exhibition "Tea and Its Ceramics: The Extraordinary Collection of the Stefano Cardu Museum of Siamese Art", showcasing pieces from the museum's collection that are usually kept in storage.
