From Dürer to Picasso

An exhibition of 90 landscapes in the Castle of San Michele in Cagliari until October 6th 2013.

The most renowned artists in an exhibition given over entirely to landscape paintings in the evocative setting of the Castle of San Michele. The artists present in this fascinating set-up proposed as a series of images ranging from macroscopic nature, mountains and giant rocks, to skylines, industrial settings, night scenes, are the major artists of all times: Picasso, Manet, Goya, Hodler, Dalì, Moore, Rembrandt, Dürer, Giacometti, Rauschenberg, Carrà, Léger, up to Gianfranco Baruchello, one of the protagonists of the Italian Pavilion at this year’s Biennial in Venice.
90 works of art selected from the Collection of Incisioni ArtCamù, administered by the Consorzio Camù and curated by Carla Orrù and Lidia Pacchiarotti, with a critique by Efisio Carbone illustrating the 11 sections comprised in the exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Municipal Authorities of Cagliari.
The exhibition will be opened on Friday 22nd at 6pm and will remain open until October 6th 2013 with a varied educational program set up by the curators to enable visitors to enjoy a direct and constructive encounter with the works of art, but likewise with the exceptional setting of the San Michele Hill, which served as inspiration for the landscape theme on which the exhibition focuses.
